Gregory Blasi, R.A has had a unique career history that has led him toward building a firm with a diversified clientele and project list. During college, the experience of working in commercial and residential construction provided an immeasurable experience for the future. Eight years of experience as a carpenter on a variety of residential, commercial, and institutional projects informed him of the building process as well personal understanding of the tradesmen's abilities and limitations. Upon completing schooling which was foremost focused on design, Gregory was fortunate to work for well-known firms, interning on a diverse project list with incredibly knowledgeable and talented mentors. These firms include Ford, Farewell, Mills, and Gatch, Gensler, and Hiland Hall Turner.
Projects ranged from the interior renovation of ATT/Lucent in Mt Kimble, Essex County Court House Renovation, Princeton University Chapel Choir Room alteration, and multiple residential projects creating jewel box traditionally designed homes from two thousand to thirty thousand square feet. During this time, diverse knowledge of traditional and modern detailing as well construction documents was gained. Gregory was given the ability to work as a designer in these firms, an unusual opportunity at his age but he was grateful to have received the experience. The next step was working as a construction manager for Epic Construction on three school additions; Bogota Bixby and Lilian Steen Elementary, and New Brunswick temporary Middle School. These two years provided another layer of knowledge in the industry of architecture and building. In 2003, at thirty-three years old, Gregory became licensed and fulfilled his fifteen goals by starting his own architecture firm. Gregory has been a partner in Taylor and Blasi Architecture as well as Vincentsen Blasi Architecture. Since 2017 as sole proprietor the firm continues to produce custom residential, commercial, public, and institutional work.
